## Why Rich Results Matters for SEO

Rich results take up more SERP real estate and dramatically increase click-through rates. A standard listing with a review rating or FAQ dropdown stands out visually against plain blue links, pulling clicks from competitors even if they rank higher.

## How Rich Results Works

Google reads structured data from your page and, if it meets their guidelines, generates enhanced SERP features. Not all structured data triggers rich results. You can test eligibility with Google's Rich Results Test. Eligibility doesn't guarantee display; Google decides based on query context.
